Welcome to the ‘’Mārītes smukumlietiņas’’ shop! A little about me and how it all started…
My name is Māra, but my friends call me Mārīte. I like it better. :) I am a creative person and always did various handicrafts. By profession I am a tailor and a landscape planner. I have always loved flowers, garden… Many years ago I decided to join one of the best floristry schools – Rita Garaissils flower arrangement school. I don’t regret any minute I spent in this school stocking my knowledge… After 2 years of study I became a florist. It was and is my dream job… I love my job very, very much. :) But flowers bloom only in summer and the florist’s work is mostly in summer. Then people are happy and marry, and I make their day more beautiful and gorgeous with the help of flowers. May everything be full of flowers! To do only what I really like, in addition to work of a florist, I also decided to start making various ladies’ accessories – earrings, bracelets, brooches, knitwear, artificial flower hair accessories and other ladies’ things. At first I created some jewellery for myself and my loved ones. I knitted and crocheted for myself and my family. But over time, I decided to develop it all.
I started participating in various markets, various city festivals, Midsummer Day markets, Christmas markets, etc. Of course, my dear family helps me to do this. Without them I couldn’t do it! Huge thanks to them for that! ♥
